Job summary

Exeter Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU on a contractor/traveler basis. Shifts run 12 hours from 7pm to 7am, with every third weekend coverage to support high acuity patients.

The nurse will participate in multidisciplinary rounds, provide bedside care, and document in our computerized system, contributing to excellent patient outcomes and a magnet-designated environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year critical care or telemetry experience preferred.
• RN license - NH state or any other compact state.
• BCLS certified or within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certified or within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in ICU with nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 or 1:1.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with physicians and staff.
• Document at bedside using the computerized documentation system.

Registered Nurses in our Intensive Care Unit are leaders and partners in patient care at Exeter Hospital. The units strive for a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 or 1:1, which allows the nurse to truly make an impact on the patient and family. Multidisciplinary rounds are one way to support a strong physician/nurse collaboration as the nurse is involved in the decisions that affect the patient and their input is valued. Our computerized documentation system allows nurses to document at the bedside. The nursing leadership team partners with our education staff to provide opportunities for career enhancement and professional development.
