Job summary

Aviagen USA is seeking an Egg Transportation Manager in Elkmont, AL to support the Egg Transportation Director with shipping operations and office duties. Responsibilities include route scheduling, DOT compliance, fleet maintenance, and safety leadership.

The role requires strong leadership, reporting, and cross‑functional collaboration. You will supervise drivers, manage biosecurity programs, and help optimize the transport process across the egg supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of transportation experience.
• Must be computer literate and able to generate reports with accuracy.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety best practices.
• Ability to supervise drivers in a fair and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Schedule egg pickup routes and deliveries to hatcheries.
• Manage DOT regulatory compliance for the fleet.
• Oversee maintenance programs for all equipment.
• Lead biosecurity programs and uphold safety culture.
• Coach drivers to reduce unsafe behaviors and improve performance.
• Handle freight exceptions and ETA adjustments based on schedules.
• Prepare profit and loss statements and travel to other operations as needed.
