Job summary

Cobb is hiring for a Laying House Worker at Sweetwater Farm. You will care for hens, collect and grade eggs, weigh feed, and maintain clean facilities on a schedule that runs Wednesday through Sunday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour with additional shift differentials for evenings and weekends, plus comprehensive benefits from day one. Experience in agriculture or production is preferred, and candidates must reside in the United States with a stable 12-month employment

Qualifications

• Internal applicants given priority for consideration.
• Agricultural or production experience preferred.
• Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.
• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months; exemptions apply for students.

Responsibilities

• Attends to and cares for hens by ensuring adequate feed, water, and ventilation.
• Collects eggs from table, records eggs laid numbers and grades.
• Weighs feed and handles birds according to schedule.
• Changes and cleans nest pads and maintains egg room cleanliness.
• Records information such as egg numbers, bird weight, medications, and production percentage.
• Houses birds per housing instructions and assists with processing as needed.
• Inspects birds and participates in safety and sanitation practices.
