Job summary

Aviagen USA seeks an Egg Depot Manager in Elkmont, AL to oversee daily egg distribution and shipping operations. You will schedule staff, coordinate paperwork and inventories, and ensure timely, accurate orders while maintaining strict bio-security and welfare standards.

Responsibilities include reporting to the Vice President of Feed and Logistics, producing regular management reports, and managing departmental costs within budget. Some weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in production or hatchery procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be a self-motivator with the ability to perform tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
• Team-oriented with good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• BA/BS in Management or Poultry Science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily egg distribution center operations and shipping procedures.
• Schedule staff, coordinate paperwork and inventories for timely orders.
• Produce regular reports and ensure compliance with safety, bio-security, and welfare standards.
• Monitor departmental costs and participate in annual budgeting.
• Manage weekend duties as required and provide coverage as needed.

This Management position will ensure that all procedures related to egg distribution and shipping are done correctly and on time. The position is also responsible for scheduling the staff, providing support where needed, and providing various reports to management.
