Job summary

Cobb Dry Creek Farm in Tennessee is seeking an Egg caretaker to manage egg handling and quality control in a fast-paced facility. You will pick up, deliver, inspect eggs, and ensure proper incubation storage.

The role involves sanitation, inventory, and adherence to biosecurity guidelines. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour with additional shift differentials for evenings, nights and weekends; must have a valid driver's license and maintain consistent work history.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license.
• 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer; no gaps >6 months in past 36 months.
• Rehire rule: minimum waiting period of 180 days; no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver eggs from chicken houses to egg facility (20%).
• Observe eggs moving on conveyor through sanitizer; check shell color/texture and external characteristics.
• Place hatching eggs in buggies and boxes and label for internal/external orders.
• Record daily inventory transactions into Excel.
• Perform sanitation: operate/clean egg sanitizer; remove waste; clean/sanitize egg room and related areas.
• Dispose of broken/dirty eggs in disposal container.
• Monitor and record egg room temperatures and humidity; calculate sanitizer concentration.
• Euthanize weak/ill birds per company policy.
