Job summary

METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER is seeking an Anesthesia Tech to support the anesthesia care team by preparing and handling equipment and supplies used during anesthesia administration. You will help set up and maintain medical devices, ensuring sterility and readiness for procedures across MetroHealth facilities.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient transport and rapid response to equipment needs, maintaining carts, and supporting safe, efficient operating room turnover.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in perioperative protocols, sterilization, or clinical sanitation.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Reliable transportation to travel to various MetroHealth facilities.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia care provider with acquiring, preparing and use of equipment and supplies during anesthesia.
• Maintain anesthesia equipment, i.e., setting up, calibrating, cleaning, and performing minor repairs; participate in OR turnover and setup to facilitate efficient workflows.
