Location: Tucson, Arizona, US
Security Clearance
U.S. citizenship is required. An active, transferable DoD Secret clearance is required on day1, and an existing clearance must be in place before start.
What You Will Do
- Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry, including non‑isolated, isolated switch‑mode power converters and linear converters, with an emphasis on board‑mounted end‑use applications.
- Assist in architecting at the circuit‑card level and guide the development through requirements definition to initial integration testing, ensuring schedule compliance and defining circuit‑level task schedules.
- Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing activities, provide moderate support from senior engineers, and assist in layer stack‑up definition.
- Act as an individual contributor while understanding the role of a small team lead, presenting work product to functional and program leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in designing, analyzing, testing, or simulating non‑isolated converter topologies (buck, boost, buck‑boost).
- Experience using MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or similar tools.
- Design and/or analysis experience with analog electronics, such as FETs/BJTs, op‑amps, high/low/band‑pass filters, clock/data termination, and comparator circuits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Analog or digital power converter design experience.
- Experience guiding ECAD personnel through PWB layout and technical drawing creation.
- Experience communicating and documenting technical topics at the small team level.
- Experience acting as a liaison between program and functional management in a cross‑matrix organization.
- Experience with military specifications and design considerations for voltages >400V and/or power >10kW, three‑phase power systems, power‑factor control, and inverter/rectifier development.
- Familiarity with simulation tools such as SIMPLIS or SABER and analysis tool Mathcad; ECAD tools Mentor Graphics DxDesigner and/or Hyperlynx.

Payroll
Salary range: $68,900–$131,100 USD.
