Job summary

Heartland Dental LLC is hiring an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) for our Brownsburg, IN practice. You will greet patients, review health histories, take X-rays, and provide four-handed chairside support to dentists while following OSHA and CDC guidelines.

You’ll use Dentrix for scheduling and records, manage supplies, and help optimize office workflow as part of a collaborative Heartland Dental team.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• 1+ year of chairside expanded functions preferred, but open to a new program graduate.
• Experience working with a dental software, such as Dentrix.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, and educate throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with state dental practice act.
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidance.
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.
