The schedule runs Monday through Friday with varied hours; state regulations govern duties like fillings, temporary crowns, and fluoride applications.

Qualifications

• EFDA certification or state-required on-the-job training.
• 1–5 years of EFDA experience preferred; new graduates considered.
• Radiography licensure meeting state requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office, dental charting software, and digital x-rays; ability to learn new systems.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside support for doctors, including charting and patient education.
• Place fillings and assist with preparing and cleaning operatories.

Monday: 7:45am-5pm

Tuesday: 7:45am-5pm

Wednesday: 7:45am-5pm

Thursday: 7:45am-7pm

Friday: 7:45am-3pm

Your Role as an EFDAAs an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, you’ll play a critical role in delivering best-in-class care. You’ll work closely with doctors to provide clinical support, educate patients, and perform expanded duties that elevate the patient experience—all while maintaining compliance with state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide chairside support for doctors, including charting, placing fillings, setting up and cleaning operatories, and patient education.
• Perform expanded functions such as placing amalgam or composite fillings, adapting temporary crowns, removing sutures, and applying topical fluoride (state-permitted procedures only).
• Maintain accurate patient health history and treatment plan documentation in dental software.
• Assist in clinical procedures, ensuring a seamless and efficient patient care process.
• Stay up-to-date on state regulations and compliance to deliver safe and effective care.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Certification: EFDA certification or on-the-job training as required by state regulations.
• Experience: 1–5 years preferred; new graduates will be considered.
• Licensure: Radiography licensure meeting state requirements.
