Job summary

Intelligence Federal, a federal contracting firm, seeks an experienced Equal Employment Opportunity Adjudicator/Attorney to support USDA adjudication of civil rights complaints. Must have extensive experience drafting Final Agency Decisions at the federal level and provide strong legal writing.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week remote role with benefits. The candidate must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• JD required. Must be barred in a US State or Territory.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a lawyer.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in Federal sector civil rights matters and/or processing federal sector EEO complaints.
• Must have a minimum of three (3) years writing Final Agency Decision reports at the federal level.
• Knowledge of Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; Rehabilitation Act; Age Discrimination in Employment Act; Equal Pay Act; Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act; Equal Credit Opportunity Act of 1974.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and preparing final agency decisions (FADs).
• Reviewing Reports of Investigation for legal sufficiency.
• Assisting in processing EEO complaints, informal and formal.
• Processing post-closure compliance and appeal work.
• Drafting formal and complex legal documents such as accept/dismissal letters and appeal documents.
• Conducting legal research and editing.
• Reviewing facts and case law.

Intelligence Federal is a federal contracting company, seeking an experienced Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Adjudicator/Attorney with strong writing skills and sound judgement to support the United States Department of Agriculture. The attorney will assist in the adjudication of program civil rights complaints for USDA. Previous experience writing Final Agency Decision letters (FADs) at the federal level is required for this position.

This is a full time, 40 hours per week position and eligible for benefits through Intelligence Federal. We were named one of the best places to work in Washington DC by the Washington Business Journal in 2024.

JOB DUTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Drafting and preparing final agency decisions (FADs) - This is the main function of this position.
• Reviewing Reports of Investigation (ROIs) for legal sufficiency
• Assisting in processing EEO complaints, both informal and formal
• Processing post-closure compliance and appeal work
• Drafting formal and complex legal documents such as accept/dismissal letters, appeal documents, counselor's reports, and complaint status memorandums.
• Conducting legal research and editing
• Reviewing facts and case law

SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL

• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Public Trust Clearance
• Must be a US Citizen

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
