Qualifications

• Enrollment in or graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic program or an Associate’s Degree or higher is desired.
• BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification required at time of hire.
• Registry eligibility or certification within 7 years of hire from ABRET is requested.

Responsibilities

• Ensure electrode application following the International 10-20 system and monitor for clinically significant events.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff to explain procedures and address questions.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic EEG issues and artifacts; maintain patient safety during EEG procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of digital EEG equipment, electrical safety, and alternative montage protocols.
• Document EEG procedures and coordinate with supervisory staff on issues in the EEG unit.
