Job summary

Connecticut Children’s Neurodiagnostic unit seeks a Neurodiagnostic Technologist II to perform EEG setup, electrode application, and patient monitoring. This role adds responsibility beyond entry level, including safety communications and basic waveform recognition in a pediatric setting.

The position emphasizes maintaining electrode connections, troubleshooting, and preparing rooms while following HIPAA and facility policies. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in or graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic program is preferred.
• Associate degree or higher from an accredited college is desired.
• BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification is required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure electrode application per the International 10-20 system and monitor clinically significant events.
• Communicate the purpose of EEG and maintain patient safety with care staff during procedures.
• Identify and troubleshoot artifacts; adjust montages and equipment as needed.
• Document EEG results and prepare rooms and supplies for procedures.
