Zusammenfassung

North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Alabama is seeking an EEG Technician (PRN) to perform a range of neurodiagnostic procedures and support the cardiopulmonary services team at a major community hospital.

The position requires EEG testing experience, BLS certification, and relevant credentials; candidates with RDCS/RCVT or equivalent experience are preferred. Strong critical-thinking and the ability to work with minimal supervision are highly valued.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree preferred; graduate of an approved Electro‑Neurodiagnostic Program or AMA‑approved Respiratory Care Program, or a minimum of two years of clinical EEG testing experience.
• RDCS by ARDMS or RCVT preferred or at least one year of experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Two years of EEG testing experience.
• Advanced knowledge of neurology and cardiopulmonary physiology.
• Preference given to certified or registered Respiratory Therapist in WV or Registered Electroencephalography Technologist.

Aufgaben

• Perform neurological cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures and related duties.
• Adhere to policies approved by the Medical Director for Cardiopulmonary services.
• Review data, collect additional info, and recommend relevant information.
• Evaluate data for medical necessity of tests ordered.
• Select and check equipment for diagnostic tests.
• Initiate and modify prescribed diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain patient records and communicate with health-care team.
• Assist with orientation and continuing education of trainees and staff.
• Promote age-appropriate care to all patients.
