Job summary

McLeod Health in Florence, SC, is seeking a nationally certified EEG Technician to perform comprehensive neurodiagnostic testing, including routine and advanced EEG procedures, to support neurologists in diagnosing conditions. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and EEG/neurodiagnostic experience, with ABRET R.EEG.T. certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification
• Minimum one year of EEG or neurodiagnostic experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive neurodiagnostic testing, including routine and advanced EEG procedures.
• Perform routine, ambulatory, and continuous video EEG monitoring.
• Conduct evoked potentials and nerve conduction studies as applicable.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort, providing clear explanations of procedures.
• Obtain and document relevant medical history and clinical information.
• Recognize and document clinically significant EEG abnormalities.
• Collaborate closely with neurologists, clinical staff, and intraoperative teams.
• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure proper calibration.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Assist in the management of database and report storage including striping procedures.
• Responsible for emergence on-calls as scheduled and per hospital policy.
