Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking an EEG Technician for the Network EEG Float Pool in Phoenix. The role involves performing standard and complex EEG procedures, including ECS brain death recordings, evoked potentials, CSA analysis, and EMG, using the 10-20 system and maintaining EEG equipment.

Qualified candidates will adapt methods to patient age groups, document results, and interact with patients and families. Training and certification in EEG are required, with BLS certification mandatory.

Qualifications

• Completion of an EEG training program (11 months) or 6 months on-the-job training.
• Prefer EEG program graduate with formal certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required; Registered EEG Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs standard and complex EEGs using the International 10-20 Placement System and applies electrodes.
• Measures electrode impedance, calibrates EEG machines and obtains recordings.
• Maintains equipment and inventory; reports major repairs.
• Records responses and interprets data while monitoring patient status.
• Explains procedures to patients and families and documents findings.
