Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an EEG Tech PT to join its team. The role involves preparing patients and performing EEGs and related tests, while supporting physicians and staff with compassionate, holistic care and accurate documentation.

The position requires knowledge of EEG equipment, ABRET credentials preferred, and the ability to work PRN. A stable, patient-focused environment with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• National ABRET credentials for REEGT preferred.
• ABRET program completion preferred.
• One year of EEG tech experience preferred.
• Ability to work on a PRN basis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and perform EEGs, Ambulatory EEGs, BAERs, VEP and other tests within scope.
• Demonstrate knowledge to provide appropriate care for patient populations served.
• Deliver compassionate, holistic care while respecting patient rights and dignity.
• Operate EEG, EMG and Evoked Potential equipment.
• Maintain patient files and accurate documentation.
• Reconcile procedure and supply charges.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The EEG Tech functions as a resource person to physicians and their staff, family members and hospital staff. Prepare patients and performs Electroencephalograms, Ambulatory EEG’s, BAER’s, VEP and other tests within their scope of practice.

What you will do in this role:

• You will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care for patient populations served in his/her department.
• You will deliver compassionate, holistic care, while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients
• You will demonstrate knowledge of equipment and procedures for dept.
• You will operate EEG, EMG and Evoked Potential equipment
• You will maintain patient files
• You will reconcile procedure and supply charges

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• National credentials by the ABRET for REEGT preferred
• Completion of ABRET program preferred
• One year of experience as EEG tech preferred
• Ability to work on a PRN basis
