Job summary

CHOC in Orange, CA is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Assistant to monitor patients during continuous EEG recordings on-site at the Main Campus. The NDA operates monitoring systems and camera controls, and alerts the Neurodiagnostic Technologist when seizures or paroxysmal events occur, but is not qualified to analyze EEG data.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent, and have completed the ASET online course; LTM 100.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of the ASET online course; LTM 100, titles introduction to LTM for EMU personnel.
• Preferred: First year of accredited Neurodiagnostic Program completed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients undergoing continuous Electroencephalograms (EEG) while on duty.
• Alert the Neurodiagnostic Technologist when clinical seizures or paroxysmal events occur.
• Not qualified to analyze EEG data.

Education
