Job summary

The Hackett Group Inc. is seeking a Director for its EEA Transformation Practice to oversee, shape, and lead technology-enabled transformations across Finance functions.

You will drive engagements, manage large client teams, and deliver EPM/BI and analytics solutions that improve decision-making and performance. Ideal candidates bring 8–10+ years of top-tier consulting experience, strong leadership, and a track record of winning new business and mentoring junior staff within Finance and EPM

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years related consulting experience with a top tier firm.
• Exceptional understanding of Enterprise Performance Management and Business Intelligence.
• Strong project leadership and project management abilities.
• Proven thought leader in one or more EPM / Finance topics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple end-to-end engagements.
• Own and ensure the success of engagements from sales support through project execution.
• Lead teams of Hackett and client resources through current state analysis, future state visioning and program execution.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues critical to the clients' strategic and operational success.
• Manage and grow client relationships.
• Provide content/functional knowledge in core EPM processes including Planning, Consolidation, BI, and Metrics.
• Provide content/functional knowledge in general finance / accounting topics.
• Identify and close new business opportunities at existing and potential clients.
• Develop intellectual capital / white papers on leading EPM insights and best practices.
• Play a key role in firm-building activities including recruiting, training, and performance management.
• Mentor, coach, and develop junior staff.

EEA TRANSFORMATION PRACTICE

The EEA Transformation Practice is the industry leader in developing and implementing strategic solutions for the Finance function that enables the function to improve decision-making capabilities, increase productivity and provide a platform for increased growth of the business. The primary offerings of this practice area are: EPM Strategy (Blueprint and Strategy, Org Design and People Development and Strategy/KPI Articulation), EPM Transformation (EPM Process and Data Optimization, EPM Center of Excellence/Delivery Model, Cost Management) and Finance Technology (EPM/BI Information Architecture, Planning and Budgeting Solutions, Consolidation and Reporting Solutions, and Management / other Enterprise-wide Reporting Solutions.)

Director Job Duties & Responsibilities

PM or Directors are primarily responsible for overseeing engagements and driving new business opportunities. Directors will apply well-honed consulting, project management, and functional skills to effectively lead and manage major engagements and will be heavily involved in business development activities such as project diagnostics, RFP responses, proposal development and sales calls.

• Lead and manage multiple end-to-end engagements
• Own and ensure the success of engagement from sales support through project execution
• Lead teams of Hackett and client resources through current state analysis, future state visioning and program execution
• Proactively identify and resolve issues critical to the clients' strategic and operational success
• Manage and grow client relationships
• Provide content/functional knowledge and expertise in some/all of the core EPM processes including: Planning and Analysis, Consolidation and Reporting, Business Intelligence and Metrics
• Provide content/functional knowledge and expertise related to general finance / accounting subject areas
• Identify and close new business opportunities at existing and potential new clients
• Develop intellectual capital / white papers around leading EPM industry insights and best practices
• Play a key role in critical firm building activities, including recruiting, training, and performance management cycles
• Mentor, coach, and develop junior staff

We are searching for professional, talented, and driven individuals with strong Finance and EPM experience.

• 8-10+ years related consulting experience with a top tier firm demonstrating career progression
• Exceptional understanding of Enterprise Performance Management and Business Intelligence within targeted industries and consulting service lines
• Strong project leadership and project management abilities
• Proven thought leader in one or more EPM / Finance related topics
• Achieved internal and gained external recognition for knowledge and expertise in at least one service or industry area
• Ability to effectively generate new business and lead pursuit teams
• Knowledge of the EPM software/product functionality and capabilities including Oracle/Hyperion, SAP and IBM/Cognos. Specific experience with deployment of at least one of these products is a plus
