Job summary

Farmington Municipal Schools is seeking an Educator Fellow to support teachers through high-dosage tutoring and small-group instruction while honoring student cultural wealth. The fellowship offers hands-on classroom experience and a clearly established pathway into the education profession.

Fellows will work under a mentor teacher and the principal, planning targeted reading and math interventions, tracking progress, and participating in coaching and professional development sessions throughout

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; AA degree or 45 college hours including required courses; possess required licenses as noted.
• Pursues a degree that leads to education licensure and NM educator licensure.
• Enrollment in six credit hours no later than the semester following the date of hire and maintaining good academic standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support under supervision of a qualified teacher.
• Assist Mentor Teacher with content and maintain open communication with Mentor Teacher and Program Director.
• Plan targeted instruction in reading and math for small groups or 1-to-1, with collaboration from Mentor Teacher.
• Track student progress and interventions; maintain accurate records.
