Job summary

Abraxas Youth and Family Services in South Mountain, PA, is seeking an Educational Treatment Supervisor to manage the learning center, supervise staff, and ensure adherence to all Abraxas policies and procedures. This role focuses on staff growth, safety, and program quality.

You will lead, guide, and support staff, organize activities, and promote development while maintaining strong client-centered care and compliance with organizational standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or human services and one-year experience in residential treatment is preferred.
• OR Associate’s degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college/university and three years’ work experience with children.
• At least twenty-one (21) years of age and a valid Driver's License.
• Physical exam that includes TB and drug testing.
• Must pass both federal and state background checks and pre-employment checks including references and driving records.
• Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

Responsibilities

• Maintain employee schedules that provide adequate coverage to ensure safety for both clients and employees.
• Develop and implement systems to organize and monitor learning center work activities.
• Structure, implement, and facilitate new employee on-the-job orientation.
• Conduct effective supervisory conferences and performance evaluations with employees, document the content of such meetings and evaluations, and provide feedback to them.
• Schedule employee training to ensure that all mandatory training requirements are met.
• Provide ongoing effective supervision to learning center unit employees and monitor activities.
• Demonstrates appropriate use of Safe Crisis Management (SCM) and provides effective supervision to staff regarding the use of SCM.
