Job summary

The Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) is seeking a Training & Consultation Specialist to lead training and professional development for educators, support staff, and school leaders within Chester County and beyond. The role emphasizes development of instructional programs and curricula to maximize student growth and achievement.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Special Education, PDE Special Education certification, and at least five years of teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to facilitate effective and engaging group trainings with teachers and administrators.
• Experience with IEP development based on reliable, valid assessment data.
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience (special education preferred), school-age level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts training and professional development for educators, support staff, and school leaders.
• Plans, develops, and delivers training and instructional programs across technical, operational, and management areas.
• Develops training curricula and evaluates effectiveness to align with program goals.
• Provides guidance to employee and organizational development consultants and coordinators.
