Job summary

Center for Developing Minds seeks a part-time Educational Therapist or Reading Specialist to assist students aged 6–22 with reading, writing, and executive functioning. Hybrid schedule combines in-person sessions in Los Gatos with remote sessions as needed.

Responsibilities include implementing evidence-based instruction, designing intervention plans grounded in Orton-Gillingham/Science of Reading, and collaborating with families and schools to secure accommodations.

Qualifications

• Background as a Reading Specialist, Special Education Teacher, or related professional training.
• Training and/or certification in Orton-Gillingham or Science of Reading approaches.
• Experience supporting students with dysgraphia (writing/spelling difficulties).
• Experience working with children and teens with ADHD and/or autism spectrum differences.
• Comfort working with anxious and/or demand-avoidant learners.
• Experience working with schools to secure accommodations strongly preferred.
• Experience with college application support a plus.

About the Role
