Job summary

UCLA Anderson Computing & Information Services (ACIS) seeks an Educational Technology Specialist 3 TX to provide hands-on technology support to faculty, staff, and students across classrooms and learning spaces. The role involves configuring computers, networks, and A/V systems, resolving issues, and delivering user training.

The position requires strong customer service, English communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple requests.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of technical service experience.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to establish cooperative relations with faculty, students, and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to handle difficult customer service situations calmly and efficiently.
• Ability to listen, ask questions, and guide users to solutions.
• Experience with Office apps, web browsers, conferencing tools, and email clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technology support to ~400 faculty/staff and ~2000 students.
• Set up, configure, test, and troubleshoot computers, networks, A/V equipment, and software in classrooms and spaces.
• Monitor helpdesk tickets, classroom hotline, and email inboxes; offer training and documentation to users.
• Collaborate with ACIS teams to resolve issues quickly and implement technology upgrades and rollouts.
