Job description

This work study role is part of the Educational Technology (Ed Tech) Team at Denver Seminary. Under the direction of the Director of Educational Technology, the individual in this Work Study role will help support delivery of courses on our Learning Management System by completing quality control projects. Such projects include verification of multimedia functionality, checking courses for essential elements, implementing accessibility standards for course content, and other duties as assigned.

This is a part time position that offers approximately 8-12 hours a week.

Essential Functions
  • Verifying essential elements of courses are present and functioning within Canvas
  • Linking, embedding, and formatting multimedia in Canvas courses
  • Providing quality control for the instructional designers by performing “click-throughs” of new course builds
  • Importing and formatting course content from Moodle to Canvas
  • Assists with other course design and quality control projects as needed
Education/Training

Applicants must be a student in good standing at Denver Seminary and in a degree program. Previous experience is not required. Must be comfortable learning new software and/or working with multimedia files.

  • Active Learning Approach:Shows initiative in asking relevant questions and learning from mistakes. Takes an active role in mastering the intricacies of the position.

Typical Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Normal office working conditions include computer usage, typing, answering phones, occasional standing, walking, long periods of sitting, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
