Waterville Public Schools seeks an Educational Technician III for the Brookside Elementary School Self-Contained/Day Treatment program. This school-year role supports students with diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs, implementing IEPs and promoting structured, nurturing learning.

Responsibilities include instructional support, planning with teachers, maintaining confidential records, and using educational tech to document progress.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of post-secondary education, or 90 semester hours approved study, or equivalent, in an educationally related field.
• Appropriate Department of Education Certification.
• Experience working with children in a school setting.
• Training or experience in the application of behavior management.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to work with computers and other educational technologies.

Responsabilités

• Provide instructional and assessment support under teacher guidance.
• Create and carry out lesson plans with supervising teacher.
• Maintain safe, organized learning environments and student records.
• Follow student plans and approved techniques.
• Document observations and progress of students.
• Assist with classroom materials and calendar displays.
• Contribute to staff meetings and regular collaboration with teachers.
