Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Maine Educational Technician III Authorization (or eligibility for certification).
• Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of early literacy development and evidence-based reading practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Current Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) authorization.

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and individual reading intervention under the direction of certified instructional staff.
• Implement evidence-based literacy interventions designed to improve phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
• Support classroom instruction through pre-planned lessons and instructional activities.
• Monitor and document student progress and communicate results with teachers and intervention staff.
• Assist with student assessments and data collection.
• Prepare instructional materials and maintain accurate records.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Participate in professional learning and collaborative planning meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designee.
