Job summary

Servingschools is seeking an Education Technician to partner with Center Drive School in Orrington, ME. The role supports teachers, specialists, families, and students to implement IEP-aligned instruction and behavioral supports across settings.

You will collaborate on lesson plans, monitor progress, collect data, and adjust supports to promote learning, independence, communication, and social-emotional growth. Background checks and Maine certification are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 90 college credits required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must meet Maine certification requirements for an Education Technician I/II/III.
• Successful completion of all required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers and the educational team to implement instruction, curriculum, and interventions aligned with students' IEP goals.
• Support students across settings including general education, Resource Room, and Life Skills programs.
• Carry out responsibilities that promote learning, independence, communication, and social-emotional development.
• Prepare materials, implement lesson plans, monitor progress, and adjust supports as directed.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation and data collection to monitor progress and inform decisions.
• Assist in implementing behavior support plans and positive behavioral interventions.
• Provide supervision and support during instructional and non-instructional activities.
• Transport students during the school day when needed.

Position Summary

The Education Technician is an important member of the educational team, working with classroom teachers, special educators, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success. This position provides instructional and behavioral support across all settings while helping implement interventions and curriculum aligned with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). The Education Technician plays an active role in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student can grow and succeed.

You Will Need To
