Job summary

Bedford Public Schools is seeking an Educational Support Professional (ESP-3) for the Bridge/STEP program at John Glenn Middle School in Bedford, MA. The ESP-3 provides direct support to students with emotional disabilities, assists with implementing IEPs and behavior plans, and uses strategies including ABA-informed methods under supervision.

Qualifications

Associates Degree in Psychology, Education or related area preferred.
Ability to integrate into classroom settings under supervision to support student engagement and learning.
Collect, record, and analyze data across multiple data points.

Responsibilities

Support classroom routines and procedures; reinforce social interaction programs and model positive behavior.
Provide supervision and/or student support services in all school environments (recess, lunch, arrival, dismissal, field trips).
Provide small group or individual instructional support aligned with student goals and behavior plans.
Consult with teachers to understand learning targets and classroom expectations.
Support academic and behavioral programs, including data collection and progress monitoring.
Provide regular feedback on student progress to teaching/counseling staff.
Adapt to varying needs of students and work across multiple classrooms.
