Job summary

Bedford Public Schools seeks an Education Support Professional-3 (ESP) to support students in SAIL, STEP, Bridge, and Integrated Preschool programs. The role focuses on implementing IEPs, providing direct instruction with ABA methodologies, de-escalation strategies, and data collection for progress monitoring.

Under supervision of BCBA and certified SPED staff, the ESP will work in classrooms, small groups, and during transitions to support student engagement, behavior, and learning.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree preferred in Psychology, Education or related area.
• Experience with students on the autism spectrum and related disabilities preferred.
• Uses ABA-based teaching methods and data collection.
• Ability to work in multiple classroom environments and support student engagement.
• Maintains confidentiality and professional conduct in all interactions.

Responsibilities

• Support students in SAIL/STEP/Bridge programs and Integrated Preschool as outlined in IEPs.
• Provide direct instruction using ABA principles and collect data on progress.
• Supervise students in all school environments including recess, lunch, and field trips.
• Collaborate with teachers to prepare daily classes and align with learning targets.
• Record data for progress monitoring and communicate with staff.
