Job summary

Bedford Public Schools is seeking an Educational Support Professional for the Sail 1 program (ESP-3). The ESP will provide direct support to students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a sub-separate classroom, implementing ABA-based instructional and behavioral plans.

The role includes small group/individual instruction, data collection, de-escalation techniques, collaboration with teachers, and supervision during daily activities.

Qualifications

Associates Degree in Psychology, Education or related area preferred.
Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a classroom setting preferred.
Ability to collect, record, and analyze data and use Google tools.

Responsibilities

Support routines and reinforce PBIS and other social-emotional learning programs.
Provide supervision and student support during recess, lunch, arrival, dismissal and field trips.
Deliver small group or one-on-one instructional support aligned with IEPs and related behavior plans.
Collaborate with teachers to prepare for daily classes and targets.
Assist with data collection, cueing, and behavior plans.
Provide feedback on student progress to staff.
Adapt to varying needs and support crisis de-escalation as needed.
