Job summary

Health & Human Services in North Carolina is seeking an Educational Developmental Assistant (S) to lead educational enrichment activities in homes and at the Educational Enrichment Centers. Qualifications

• Experience in education settings with instructional knowledge and reinforcement strategies.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism-related challenges.
• Ability to work cooperatively, independently, and with a team while following established regulations and policies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with multiple service disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day instruction, scheduling, activity sanitation and rotation, and other program organizational functions in the assigned area.
• Lead activities, monitor participation, motivate engagement, and model therapeutic relationship techniques for staff at Educational Enrichment Centers.
• Document participation, provide feedback to the Lead EDA, EPA, and Teachers to facilitate participation, enjoyment, progress and independence of residents.
