Job summary

Waco ISD is seeking a Diagnostician to implement the special education appraisal process, assess learning needs, and provide diagnostic information for appropriate programs.

The role requires a Master’s degree, valid Texas educator credentials, and three years of teaching experience, reporting to the Special Education Office in the Administration Building. It involves collaboration with staff, parents, and ARD committees.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education or a related field.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate.
• Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician certificate.
• Three years of teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive student referrals and implement the evaluation process.
• Select and administer formal and informal assessments to determine eligibility for special education services.
• Coordinate ARD meetings to interpret data and develop IEPs.
• Provide staff development and consultation to teachers and parents.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations.
