Job summary

Waxahachie ISD Special Populations Dept. is seeking a Diagnostician to implement the special education appraisal process, assess student needs, and collaborate with staff to place students in appropriate programs.

The role requires a Master’s in educational assessment, valid Texas teaching and diagnostician certificates, and at least three years of teaching experience. Duties include ARD participation, data collection, and program evaluation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in educational assessment is required.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate and Texas educational diagnostician certificate are required.
• Three years of teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: receive referrals, administer assessments, collate data, ARD participation for IEPs.
• Consultation: staff development, assist with IEP implementation, involve parents and staff.
• Program management: develop relationships with students/parents, evaluate assessment programs, maintain reports.
• Communication: maintain relationships with supervisors and colleagues, clear communication with students/parents.
• Professional growth: engage in development activities and perform other duties as assigned.
