Job summary

Waco ISD is seeking a qualified Diagnostician to implement the special education appraisal process and assess the educational needs and learning styles of students referred to special education services.

You will provide diagnostic information, collaborate with instructional staff to develop appropriate programs, and participate in ARD committees while coordinating assessment data and reporting requirements district-wide.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree is required.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate.
• Valid Texas educational diagnostician certificate.

Responsibilities

• Receive student referrals and implement the evaluation process.
• Select and administer formal and informal assessments to determine eligibility for special education services.
• Collect and organize relevant assessment data from multiple sources.
• Conduct classroom observations and interviews to collect data for assessment.
• Participate in ARD Committee to interpret data and develop IEPs.
