Job summary

Dallas Independent School District is seeking a licensed Educational Diagnostician to provide specialized evaluations and referrals for students requiring special education services. You will lead psycho-educational assessments, obtain consent, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to determine eligibility and intervention plans.

The role requires Texas certification, three years of teaching experience, and the ability to travel district-wide.

Qualifications

Master's degree in education with diagnostician specialization.
Texas Educational Diagnostician certification (TEA) required.
Valid Texas teaching certificate with 3+ years teaching experience.

Responsibilities

Provide referral information to students, families, program and professionals regarding the needs of referred students.
Obtain consent for psycho-educational evaluations.
Utilize various assessment instruments and techniques as a part of multidisciplinary team to assist in identifying students eligible for Special Education Services and in determining appropriate intervention strategies and techniques.
Organize assignments to meet due dates and mandated timelines.
Write full and individual evaluation reports to address the needs of the student and guide instruction.
Attend Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee meetings and interpret evaluation results.
Provide referral information to students, families, program and professionals regarding the needs of referred students.
Complies with all state and federal rules, laws, policies and guidelines related to special education of students with disabilities.
Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.
