Qualifications

  • Doctoral or master's degree in Audiology.
  • Current licensure through the Ohio Speech and Hearing Board.
  • Ohio State Board of Education Pupil Service Registration or ability to attain registration.
  • Experience in pediatric audiology preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess auditory status and amplification needs of children including diagnostic audiograms and immittance measures.
  • Oversee equipment for service and maintenance and keep records of serial numbers.
  • Provide in-services to teachers and support personnel on classroom accommodations.
  • Educate parents regarding audiological information and student needs.
  • Identify resources for diagnostic evaluations and amplification equipment for children.
  • Interpret assessment information to teachers, students and parents.
  • Maintain student records and submit required reports.
