Job summary

ESC of Lake Erie West is seeking a dedicated Audiologist to join our team in a full-time school-based position, serving Deaf/Hard of Hearing students.

You will assess hearing status, perform diagnostic tests, recommend amplification and DM systems, and provide training to teachers, parents, and staff. Experience in pediatric audiology is preferred; Ohio licensure is required, with state pupil service registration or ability to attain.

Qualifications

• Doctoral or Master’s degree in Audiology required.
• Current licensure through the Ohio Speech and Hearing Board.
• Ohio State Board of Education Pupil Service Registration or ability to attain registration.
• Experience in pediatric audiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess auditory status and amplification needs for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students.
• Perform diagnostic audiograms, immittance, OAEs, and central auditory processing tests as appropriate.
• Order/fit hearing aids and DM systems using real-ear measurements and best practice.
• Educate teachers, parents, and staff about audiological information and classroom accommodations.
• Maintain accurate student records and report data for program development.
