Job summary

Clackamas Education Service District is seeking an Educational Assistant for the Life Enrichment Education Program (LEEP) in various locations within Clackamas County. The role involves supporting students with complex disabilities through IEP-aligned instruction, data collection, and collaboration with teachers and therapists.

You will assist with daily routines, inclusion, and behavior support, while adhering to program frameworks and school policies.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate technology for student instruction and care.
• Ability to produce materials using computers, copiers, audiovisual equipment.
• Ability to acquire and maintain required certifications (first aid/CPR, crisis intervention).
• Written and oral communication skills sufficient to perform essential functions.
• Physical and mental attributes sufficient to perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist and/or teach individual and small groups of students in specially designed instruction.
• Instruct/assist students in following daily routines including personal care.
• Help students engage with peers in authentic activities inside and outside the classroom.
• Follow plans written by related service specialists (AT/AAC, etc.).
• Prepare materials for instructional activities and routine clerical tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized environment and assist substitute teachers.
