Wilmington Public Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant for Stepping Stones with ESY at West Intermediate School in Wilmington, MA. The role centers on supporting students with various needs under IEPs and 504 plans, collaborating with teachers, and ensuring data collection and responsive accommodations.

The position includes a 6-week ESY component, full-time employment, and a daily salary range of $20–$25.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three (3) plus years in a school setting or working with students with various needs.
• Experience supporting students behaviorally, academically and emotionally.
• Experience with ABA methodologies, behavior plans and/or specific learning disabilities.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Support students within and outside of the general education classroom according to their IEP.
• Work with the classroom teacher and assist in the classroom as the teacher deems appropriate.
• Implement current IEP and data collection under supervision of school staff.
• Assist staff by implementing accommodations according to IEPs, 504 Plans, or Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Work with students to implement accommodations and modifications.
• Supervise students during various times of the day.
• Attend staff meetings and maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain professional relationships with all staff.
