• Read lab manuals and protocols.
• Learn experiments to troubleshoot
• Set up and take down labs weekly or biweekly
• Maintain clean lab classrooms and prep areas
• Lead by example and help train incoming lab aides
• Assist professors in safety attire/food checks prior to labs
• Lift and unpack packages
• Assist with operation of instructor computers and projectors
• Perform duties with professional demeanor
• Work as a member of a diverse team
• Perform other duties as required

Job Description Summary This advertisement is for multiple position(s) and is open continuously. Applications are pulled as needed. The Lab Aide position in the Physical Sciences Labs in the Natural Sciences Department provides a great opportunity to get hands‑on experience in a laboratory setting, learn about safety, lab equipment, and making solutions as well as working in a fast paced professional environment.

Qualifications Required

• The Educational Aide must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student, in good academic and behavioral standing, taking six (6) or more credit hours.
