Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking an Associate, Technology to support and operate technology-enabled instruction across schools. The role involves assisting students, teachers, staff, and parents with technology, and helping implement instructional technology programs.

The position requires an Associate degree or equivalent experience and involves minor device management, helpdesk tasks, and collaboration with a technology services team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of school technology programs and policies.
• Ability to follow state and local regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and students.
• Capacity to learn and use specialized software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic technical support to school computers, tablets, network, AV equipment, student and staff devices, and printers/copiers.
• Distribute, manage, verify, and collect student devices each school year.
• Assist with selecting resources compatible with school technology infrastructure.
• Assist teachers with the implementation of computer-assisted instructional programs.
• Enforce relevant policies including Internet Acceptable Use and related forms.
• Inspect equipment and arrange major repairs as needed.
• Attend professional development and other meetings.
