Summary

You will serve as an Education Technician. This is a term position (more than 1 year) with an initial appointment expecting to last at least 13 months but may be extended up to a total of four years, or more based on any changes to regulations governing the number of years term appointments may last, without further competition at management's discretion. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.

Major Duties

Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Informs visitors including students about park facilities and resources through informal interpretation. Schedules and organizes program logistics and provides input and ideas on program development. Develops and presents a variety of formal and informal interpretive programs as well as a variety of curriculum-based education programs to students of all ages and backgrounds. Serves as a role model for other staff members, including volunteers, and assists with program development and training. Mentor seasonal staff by providing guidance and feedback. Communicate with educational groups, teachers, the public, and community which include people of various ages and backgrounds under a variety of circumstances.
