Job summary

Washoe County School District is seeking an Education Technology Specialist for Anderson Elementary School. This temporary, part-time position (31 hours/week) provides basic tech support, assists students and staff with software, imaging, password resets and lab supervision.

It also involves inventory, safety, and facilitating IT work orders to ensure smooth classroom technology operations. The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, applying district curricula, and maintaining records

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Some college/workshops in computer operations desirable.
• 1 year of experience in computer support and instructional activities in an organized program.
• HQ: 48 semester hours or an associate degree or higher, or ETS ParaPro score 460+.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff and students with technology issues and activities, including software installations, imaging, password resets and IT work orders.
• Assist in presenting new software to staff and students using various teaching methods.
• Support classrooms with district curriculum/software and maintain computer lab inventory and materials.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

48 semester hours of credit at an accredited college/university or associate degree or higher

ParaPro Assessment score of at least 460 (ETS)
