Job summary

Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) seeks a Director of Technology and Innovation to lead CREC's technology strategy and operations. The role reports to the Director of Operations and guides infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, data governance, and AI-enabled innovation.

As the senior technology leader, you will collaborate across divisions, manage budgets, mentor staff, and drive digital transformation to improve efficiency, service delivery, and educational outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or closely related field.
Advanced degree or strong alternative mix of education and experience preferred.
Ten years of progressive technology or digital transformation experience.
Minimum three years of management experience and team leadership.
Experience leading enterprise technology operations, cybersecurity, data governance, and AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

Translate priorities into a technology and innovation roadmap and drive execution.
Provide agency-wide strategic leadership for technology operations, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
Oversee governance, disaster recovery, business continuity, and customer support services.
Mentor and develop technology professionals and build a collaborative team culture.
Lead initiatives on AI ethics, digital transformation, and data analytics across CREC.
