Job summary

Pearson Virtual Schools (PVS) is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support data-driven decision making, process evaluation, and stakeholder collaboration across Product Management, School Operations, Technology, and Engineering.

The role emphasizes discovery, requirements documentation, governance support, and the creation of reports and dashboards to inform student, family, educator, and operations decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Analytics, Education, Technology, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in Business Analysis, Operations Analysis, Process Improvement, Product Support or related role.
• Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience using Salesforce or similar enterprise applications.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in discovery to understand problems, user needs, operational challenges, and opportunities.
• Document current-state and future-state business processes using structured analysis techniques.
• Develop and maintain business requirements, process flows, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Translate business needs into clear and actionable documentation for product, engineering, and operational teams.
• Support governance reviews, decision tracking, and cross-functional alignment.
• Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Data & Analytics, Compliance, and School Leadership teams.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and analytics capabilities to improve user experience and operational effectiveness.
