Job summary

Pearson is seeking an analytical Business Analyst to support data-driven decisions for Pearson Virtual Schools (PVS). You will partner with Product Management, School Operations, Technology and Engineering to translate business needs into actionable requirements and scalable solutions aligned with strategic objectives.

The role emphasizes discovery, requirements management, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 2-4 years of experience in business analysis or related roles.
Proven ability to gather and document business and functional requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and using enterprise apps like Salesforce.

Responsibilities

Participate in discovery efforts to understand business problems, user needs, and strategic opportunities.
Develop and maintain business requirements, process flows, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
Translate business needs into actionable documentation for product, engineering, and ops teams.
Facilitate stakeholder alignment and document decisions.
Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and develop actionable insights.
Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings.
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Data & Analytics, Compliance, and School Leadership.
