Job summary

Terry Redlin Elementary, part of the Sioux Falls School District, is hiring an Education Support Professional to assist teachers and students in a supportive, school-family partnered setting. The role involves tutoring, preparing instructional materials, and maintaining records in a structured, student-centered environment.

Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am–3:00 pm, at 0.8125 FTE (32.5 hours per week for 9 months).

Qualifications

• Two years post high school education or higher, or pass a state-approved test.
• Must demonstrate skill using a computer for word processing and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher in identifying student needs.
• Provides tutorial assistance for students in all classes.
• Prepares instruction and supplementary materials.
• Keeps records.
• Checks papers, workbooks, homework and tests.
• Assists students with makeup work.
• Maintains student confidentiality.
• Assists teachers in supervising students in the classroom.
• May be requested by administration to transport students using personal vehicle.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
