The Children's Community Programs of Connecticut is seeking an Education Coordinator to maintain continuity of education for unaccompanied refugee children in CCP’s CRIS program. You will supervise teaching and daily operations while coordinating assessments, enrollment, and special education planning to ensure smooth transitions.

Candidates should hold a Connecticut teaching certificate and a relevant master's degree, with strong organizational and cross-cultural communication skills.

Qualificações

• Master's degree in Education, Special Education, ESL/TESOL, or related field.
• Valid Connecticut teaching certification; reciprocity from another state encouraged.
• Experience with curriculum development.
• Managerial or supervisory experience in an educational setting.
• Clear, effective communication with children, team members, schools, families, and outside providers.
• Self-motivated, organized, time management, and cross-cultural trust-building.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise teachers, assistants, transportation and kitchen teams.
• Build safe, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive team practices.
• Run transportation, meals, and daily services you provide as part of the education program.
• Coordinate educational assessments and records.
• Coordinate school enrollment and placement; partner with schools.
• Assemble transcripts, report cards, IEPs and 504 Plans.
• Identify students needing academic, language, or special education support; coordinate referrals.
• Coordinate tutoring and English-language learning with a culturally responsive lens.
• Monitor attendance, participation, and progress; communicate concerns to case managers.
