Job summary

The Education Specialist collaborates with Talent Search staff to create curricula, classroom activities, and resources for 500 disadvantaged middle school students in six target schools, aligning with public school standards. The role provides academic, career, and financial counseling to help students graduate high school and pursue postsecondary education.

Travel to six area schools for workshops and events, maintain eligibility records in StudentAccess, assist with marketing and recruitment,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; two years in related educational programs or community services.
• Master's degree preferred in education or related field.
• Experience designing instructional materials/resources is a plus.
• Knowledge of Arkansas state curriculum frameworks is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, financial, and career counseling to participants.
• Lead monthly workshops for 6th–12th grade students in six target schools.
• Travel to six area public schools for daytime workshops and evening events; attend out-of-state trainings.
• Maintain accurate eligibility records in StudentAccess and support annual reporting for the DOE.
