Job summary

Gordon Food Service in the United States seeks an Education Specialist to grow the educator segment, support orders and deployments, and deliver consultative services to improve profitability.

Travel across a multi-state territory to call on customers, negotiate terms, plan education events, and collaborate with brokers and marketing to promote GFS tools. You will analyse customer profitability, manage receivables, and develop business plans based on customer needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 3–5 years in sales or food business.
• 1–3 years in education industry preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Education Specialist curriculum must be completed within 2 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Support order and delivery interaction for education segment customers.
• Seek growth opportunities and bring new customers to GFS.
• Promote and use e-commerce technology and GFS tools.
• Negotiate customer agreements using profitability models.
• Deliver consultative services like menu engineering and HAACP training.
• Provide education event planning and execution support.
